Shoot Point Blank Ammo Restrictions
previous post
If you plan on going shooting at Shoot Point Blank it is probably a good idea to know what types of ammo you can shoot at their range.
Right now all legal handguns up to .50 caliber are allowed to be shot at the range. All legal rifles up to .300 Winchester Magnum are allowed on the range. All legal shotguns, shooting slugs are allowed on the range but no buckshot is allowed to be fired on the shooting range.
All Ammunition, including lead, steel jacked, frangible, and copper-plated is allowed to be shot there.
All Armor penetrating/piercing, explosive, tracer, incendiary, and steel core ammunition is prohibited and will not allowed to be shot at the range.
Frangible ammunition is a training round designed to disintegrate into dust when it strikes a hard target/object. Manufacturers make modern frangible bullets with powder metallurgy, pressing, and “sintering” metal that is formed into a fine powder.
