Shoot Point Blank Ammo Restrictions

If you plan on going shooting at Shoot Point Blank it is probably a good idea to know what types of ammo you can shoot there.

Right now all legal handguns up to .50 caliber are allowed at the range.  All legal rifles up to .300 Winchester Magnum are allowed.  All legal shotguns, shooting slugs are allowed but no buckshot is allowed.

All Ammunition, including lead, steel jacked, frangible, and copper-plated is allowed to be shot there.

Armor penetrating/piercing, explosive, tracer, incendiary, and steel core ammunition is prohibited and not allowed to be shot at the range.

Just a quick note. If you are renting a firearm from Shoot Point Blank, you will need to purchase your ammo for that shoot from the store at the time of your rental.

What is a frangible bullet/round?

Frangible ammunition is a training round designed to disintegrate into dust when it strikes a hard target/object. Manufacturers make modern frangible bullets with powder metallurgy, pressing, and “sintering” metal that is formed into a fine powder.
