Lowe’s Military Discount

by editor

For all of you active-duty military men and women along with all of you veterans out there, this one’s for you. Yes, it’s true. Lowe’s does offer a 10% military discount (on most full-priced purchases) to all active-duty soldiers and veterans. I found this out the other day while talking to one of my friends and lowe and behold it’s true. Lowe’s wants to extend their gratitude to those who have served or are currently serving our country in the US armed forces. This discount also extends to your respective spouses.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE MILITARY DISCOUNT?

  • AIR FORCE
  • ARMY
  • COAST GUARD
  • NAVY
  • UNITED STATES PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE
  • AIR NATIONAL GUARD
  • ARMY NATIONAL GUARD
  • MARINE CORPS
  • NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION

To receive the everyday 10% Military Discount, you must:

Be currently serving in or be a veteran (as defined below) of the US armed forces, and enroll in the program online or at a customer service desk at any Lowe’s store.

A “Veteran” includes all individuals who are retired from the US armed forces or who have been discharged (e.g., honorable, under honorable conditions, general). Individuals dishonorably discharged or discharged for bad conduct are not eligible to receive a Military Discount.

To receive the Military Discount for in-store purchases, a valid photo ID is required at checkout to ensure the discount is being used by you or your spouse. For a spouse, the last name must match the registered service member’s last name to receive the Military Discount. To receive the Military Discount for online purchases, you must sign in to your MyLowe’s account.
Please see below for the documentation necessary for enrollment. When you enroll online, the Military Discount will be automatically linked to your MyLowe’s account.

Lowe’s uses a trusted third party to verify eligibility status for online enrollment and may require additional documentation or proof of eligibility.

STEP 1: Complete the information needed to create your new account.

STEP 2: Enter your primary home address on this screen. Make sure the primary address in your Lowe’s account profile matches the address on your driver’s license or state issued ID.

STEP 3: Enter your military credentials here.

For whatever reason after step 3, Lowe’s verification system was unable to verify my service record. I had to upload a copy of my DD214 to verify that I was in the service. After I uploaded my DD214 I received this email confirmation below.

STEP 3.5: You are done for now. Sit back and wait to be approved by their system via email.

It didn’t take long maybe 12 hours at the most before I received an email from Lowe’s congratulating me to the program. The next step here was pretty cool. You can make your purchase online once you sign in to your Lowe’s account. After you start adding products to your cart you will see your military discount being applied right away. I didn’t have to do anything. Sweet! It did everything automatically. You can see my discount being applied in the screenshot below.
